Victoria Montalbano
The Princess Strikes Back
One Woman’s Search for the Space Cowboy of Her Dreams
Fri Aug 18
** Cancelled **
This award-winning one-woman comedy has been packing houses on its national tour, and now comes to Skokie – with two performances,
The Princess Strikes Back is a thrilling romp starring actress and comedian Victoria Montalbano, that tells the star’s search for love despite none of her prospects ever living up to the shadow cast by her first crush: Han Solo - the handsome, sarcastic, dashing wanted man brought to life by Harrison Ford.
This heartwarming show is about love and romance with just enough sci fi references to make you giggle – but you don’t have to be a sci fi fan to enjoy it . Appropriate for ages 15 and up.
“...a powerhouse performance that touches the heart, while also inspiring such intense laughter that it will make your eyes tear.”
- Rikki Lee Travolta, The Life and Times of Rikki Lee
“Her delivery is warm and real. And you don’t have to be a single woman to fall under her spell — her story has universal appeal for anyone whose life hasn’t gone according to plan, who has suffered the pangs of first love, who has struggled to find inner peace with choices made.” - Matt Palm, Orlando Sentinel
”’The Princess Strikes Back’ is notable for the quality of the writing and the energy and pacing of the delivery. Montalbano is conversational in manner, but the style is neat and engaging. She never falls into the error of thinking that to exude charm these days requires being offhand or even sloppy in word or gesture.” - Jay Harvey, Jay Harvey Upstage
