Roxy Bellows is a high-octane entertainer whose ability to create an evening of outrageous laughs and astounding improvised music has wowed audiences across the country. Now you can experience Roxy’s ribald wit and amazing musical talent as she belts out show stoppers and croons sweet ballads in a show made up on the spot just for you.
Roxy Bellows has been entertaining audiences across the country for decades, although you’d never know it be looking at her! She has appeared in every theater in Branson at least once. Early in her career she realized that composers were passing her over and writing songs for the likes of Vanessa Williams and New Kids on the Block. She took matters into her own hands and began composing and is happy to share those works with you tonight. When she isn’t belting out one of her show-stopping original songs or getting better acquainted with her loyal fans, Roxy likes nothing more than to go tanning at a spa with Babs and Bette. That is if she can find a place that lets her bring her cats!
THREE PART HARMONY…ONE PART COMEDY
Who are The Famous Brothers? Best answer: Classic bluegrass harmony with an original comic twist.
The Famous Brothers hail from the mining town of Monkey’s Crevice, West Virginia where they created a unique three-part harmony style and wrote most of their memorable song list, with titles like “Armageddin’ Ready for the Second Coming (‘Cause the First One Came Too Fast)” and “I Got Twenty Ways to Kill You With My Swiss Army Knife”.
The Chicago Tribune calls the Famous Brothers “exceptionally witty. [Their show] has such clever lyrics, tuneful ditties, splendid harmonies and so warm a demeanor, you can sense a great deal of audience pleasure”; the Chicago Reader says they’re “funny, smart, sweet-voiced, and overall amiable”, while the Windy City Times anoints them “a surefire crowd-pleaser, keeping the audience laughing and clapping along”.
